Over 15 years ago and on the foothills of the Himalayas, Catriona experienced yoga for the first time. Her ‘Mr Miyagi’ type teacher taught classical yoga for donation only in his outdoor school. Every morning they were surrounded by monkeys, mountains and glorious eagles. Since then yoga has been a part of her daily life. Formally qualified in India in 2005 with the Saraswati yoga group Catriona has continued to study with teachers from all around the globe such as Donna Farhi, Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Michael De Manicur etc. She has also undertaken specialist teacher training in yoga therapy, pre-natal yoga and kids yoga. For her yoga is a sacred life practice that enables people to connect with their true nature. She believes that we are all microcosms of the macrocosm and that we are absolutely perfect in every way. When we experience this we see and appreciate the beauty in every living thing and connect to our bodies, other people and our environment on a much deeper & compassionate level.
